I don’t buy it…

This article was forwarded to me, and I thought it was so exceptionally on the mark that I had to post a link.

This woman’s husband told her that he didn’t love her anymore, and she responded with “I don’t buy it.” She refused to listen to the people telling her to leave him; she refused to accept his lame attempts to make her hate him.

My wife did the same thing when I melted down in a crisis depression (which came from the stresses of ministry – and anyone who thinks the pastorate is easy is welcome to relive 2007 with me!).  This writer and my wife are the kinds of TOUGH CHICKS men need – women who just will not give up.

And guys, we need to be TOUGH MEN for our wives. When our wives doubt whether they love us, we need to stop being cry babies or bullies (and we can be both) and calmly say, “I don’t buy it.”

EVERY MARRIED PERSON ON EARTH SHOULD READ THIS ARTICLE!

  1. This is excellent. I’m gonna have my wife read it. Though, admittedly, if she pulled something like this I would be ticked off beyond measure, but even more so grateful in the end.

    Thanks Erik!
