Everyone who knows me knows that I love my Acer Aspire One. My Aunt Karen’s husband Bob recently bought one as well, and he loves his. They really are pretty cool.
(Although, true to form, as soon as I bought mine, Acer announced a new 10.2″ model!)
The one thing I have really had a problem with is the standby function. It continually gives me fits and does not go into standby/hibernate properly. I think I’ve finally figured the problem out – it has something to do with the wireless card. For some reason, the wireless card does not disconnect from the wireless network properly, and it prevents the computer from going to sleep.
Anyway, it is an easy fix. I just turn off the wireless card before going into standby, and all is well.
