It’s been awhile since I updated the books page, so I thought I’d let you know it has been updated.
Books I Am Reading Right Now
A Distant Mirror: The Calamitous 14th Century By Barbara W. Tuchman This fascinating look into the high middle ages keeps me company on my rides to work. I am listening to it; almost certainly, I would fall asleep trying to read all the French names. |

By Bill Hybels Yet again, Hybels has rethought his approach to things. One of the things I admire about Hybels is that he is always willing to admit that his “megachurch” doesn’t have things completely right. This is an excellent book on evangelism. |

The Church You’ve Always Wanted By E. Glenn Wagner and Steve W. Halliday This book was excellent. I’m not quite finished with it; but I’ve stolen this fall’s sermon series from the authors…I mean, I have borrowed creatively from their resources. |

Out the Question…Into the Mystery By Leonard Sweet An interesting book on the relational nature of Christianity. Not nearly as interesting as some of the other books I’m reading right now; but still not bad. |
Books I’ve Read This Year
1453: The Holy War for Constantinople and the Clash of Islam and the West By Roger Crowley |
By John Dominic Crossan |
By Stephen Hawking |
By Patrick O’Brian |
By Donald Miller I listened to this book on audio rather than read it this year. Still poignant and catalytic. |
The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid By Bill Bryson Rare is the month that I’m not reading something by Bryson. |
